Matcha is a type of green tea that has been stone-ground into a delicious and delicate powder.
With its name translating to ‘ground tea’, matcha contains 137 times more antioxidants than regular green tea. Before harvesting, the young tea leaves are shaded for 3-4 weeks to stock up on large amounts of chlorophyll, producing amino acids and L-theanine.
This is what helps increase our alpha brain waves, promoting both creativity and relaxation! The flavour profile of our matcha is sweet and creamy with hints of cocoa and ‘umami’ – which means “essence of deliciousness” in Japanese.
