We love Sugar Kelp, it has a beautiful salty sweet taste, not as you would imagine a seaweed to taste.
Instead it is gentle, with the taste and scent of deep sea. It is hand dived for us and once on land, it’s quickly in our hands to dry on our line.
Sugar Kelp is naturally high in antioxidants, including carotenoids, flavonoids, and alkaloids, vitamin C, manganese and zinc, suggesting it may be useful to help combat oxidative stress and offer benefits to both cardiovascular health and it may also support the thyroid.
We also include lemon peel which we dehydrate to give it a lovely citrus note and to offer a little boost to the immune system.
It is rich in iodine so only use one small piece of seaweed in a pot with a little lemon peel.
